Vision

To operate a highland region learning and development center that engages in research and creates innovations and technologies that improve the livelihoods and quality of life for the people in the highland communities, and to provide sustainable environment protections, while preserving the traditions and cultures of the local communities.

Goals

The goal of the Royal Project Foundation is to implement the initiatives envisioned by His Majesty the King Rama IX. The Royal Project patronage seeks to achieve the following:

  1. To promote benevolence leading to the development of the people in the highland communities
  2. To correct harm caused by deforestation and watershed forest problems
  3. To replace drug-crops (such as the opium poppy) with alternative economic crops
  4. To preserve the environment and the soil, and to educate the highland people how to use sustainable farming methods; particularly to encourage the people to respect the forests areas and to engage in economically successful farming in areas that do not encroach the forest.
  5. Whereupon, the Foundation encourages the highland people to plant economically viable crops, such as fruits and vegetables, that benefit themselves and contribute to the economic success of the entire country.
