KU welcomed students of KU-PUK Student Exchange Program 2024

          The International Affairs Division, Kasetsart University, in collaboration with Prefectural University of Kumamoto (PUK) in Japan, organized the KU-PUK Student Exchange Program 2024 from February 27th to March 10th, 2024 (a duration of 2 weeks) at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, and Kamphaeng Saen Campus. This program aims to provide participants with the opportunity to learn the Thai language and culture through lectures and various activities, including campus tour, lecture entitled “Thai Language for Foreigners” by the Faculty of Humanities, KU, excursion at the Grand Palace, Bangkok, and “International Muay Thai Class”. There were 7 KU students who had previously visited PUK in the past year joining the program activities along with students from PUK.

          On 28th February 2024, Meeting Room No.10, 10th floor of the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, along with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chamaipak Maiklad, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Naroon Waramit, Dean of School of Integrated Science; Dr. Sareewan Juengjarernnirathorn, School of Integrated Science; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thitima Puttitanun, Faculty of Economics; Asst. Prof. Dr. Pratyaporn Rattanapongpinyo, Faculty of Humanities; Asst. Prof. Dr. Korakit Choomgrant, Deputy Dean for International Affairs and Educational Development, Faculty of Social Sciences; Dr. Wachirah Jaingam, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Faculty of Fisheries; and representatives of the International Affairs Division, joined a welcome ceremony for 12 students and Prof. Richard S. Lavin Director of Center for International Education and Exchange, Prefectural University of Kumamoto, from PUK on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

          After the welcome ceremony, students from PUK and KU, along with lecturers and representatives of the International Affairs Division, participated in a group photo session. Subsequently, there was an introduction session. PUK students come from various departments, including administration, environmental sciences, English language and literature, etc. The atmosphere during the welcome ceremony was warm. PUK and KU students had a conversation about tourist attractions in Bangkok and places within KU. Finally, PUK students moved to the Faculty of Humanities to join the next activity in the program.
