KU welcomes delegations from the U.S. embassy in Bangkok

On Friday 19th October 2020, at 10.00 am., in the IAD meeting room on the 10th floor of the Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center at Kasetsart University. Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat PENSUPAR, Vice President for International Affairs along with Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak TAYJASANANT, Assistant to the President for International Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Udomluk KOOLSRIROJ, Associate Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Education, and Assistant Professor Dr. Wandee KASEMSUKPIPAT, Assistant to the Dean for International Affairs, Faculty of Education, welcomed 3 delegates from the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok led by Ms. Deb MAK, Assistant Cultural Affairs Officer along with Ms. Preeyawan SAKORNYEN, Cultural Affairs Specialist and Ms. Siripat CHAYOPAS, Cultural Affairs Assistant; on the occasion of visiting Kasetsart University.

The purpose of this visit is to fasten the relationship and strengthen the collaborative activities between Kasetsart University and U.S. universities. Hence, Assistant Professor Dr. Kampanat PENSUPAR gave welcoming remarks and overview information of Kasetsart University via video presentation, depicted the expertise in Agricultural Technology, Food Science, and further information about the KU Business Incubation Center (KUBIC) that providing support for the start-up entrepreneurs. Simultaneously, Ms. Deb MAK also gave crucial information on the U.S. education system and its management, which directly affect by the COVID-19 pandemic, emerging the need for online teaching. In this sense, the U.S. embassy’s main role is to be a hub and moderator between both sides for healthy collaboration.

Moreover, Assistant Professor Dr. Udomluk KOOLSRIROJ mentioning the collaborative activities between the Faculty of Education and top-notch universities in the U.S., which is mostly initiated by the help of the Alumni that will develop into a research project later on. Furthermore, Associate Professor Dr. Chamaipak TAYJASANANT also provided information on the upcoming webinar namely “The Academic Consortium for the 21st Century (AC21)” which will be held during 8-9 December this year.

In conclusion, the U.S. embassy is willing to support collaborative activities between Kasetsart University and U.S. universities as a hub for convenient communication and a strong connection to encourage the development of academic and research projects in the future.
