	President of the DUCED-SLUSE: Danish University Consortium for Environment and Development Program together with its twenty students from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark, participated in the joint training course (Interdisciplinary Study) with twenty five of KU students under the KU-TUCED-SLUSE Program, the Graduate School, Kasetsart University, during March 8 – 18, 2008, at Kasetsart University and Wang Nam Kheo District in Nakhornratchasrima.

		Professor Dr. Ogawa Hideki. Director of the International Center, Okayama University visited International Affair Division, Kasetsart University and met Director Phacharavadee Paerattakul. On 6 March 2008, both have exchanged university information to prepare a student exchange program conducted in August, of which Okayama University plans to send a group of students to Southeast Asia counties including Cambodia and Thailand. During this stay in Thailand, Students will be with Kasetsart University for 1-2 weeks this coming August.

		Professor Dr. Shoichi Ito, Vice Chairman of International Exchange Committee, Kyushu University visited Director of International Affairs Division on 7 March 2008 at 10.20 a.m. at International Affairs Division. The purpose of this visit was to seek the possibility of conducting the Joint Degree for Ph.D. Program and to ask International Affairs Division to be the coordinator of 5 faculties, Faculty of Agriculture, Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Faculty of Fisheries, Faculty of Forestry, and Faculty of Agro-Industry, in signing the Agreement for Academic Cooperation and Memorandum on Student Exchange.

		Dr. Shinji Tuyumu, Vice President for International Strategic Affairs, Shizuoka University, Japan, paid a visit to Kasetsart University on Friday, March 7, 2008 so as to discuss about academic cooperation between Kasetsart University and Shizuoka University. In this occasion, the Vice President was warmly welcomed and greeted by Assoc. Prof. Sornprach Thanisawanyangkura, Vice President for International Affairs, while concerned administrative and faculty members including Dean of Science and representative from Faculty of Agriculture, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sutrudee Prathuangwong were invited to join this event. The discussion was focused on Exchange Student Activities and Internships which will allow Kasetsart University students to have opportunities to augment their international experience in Japan and other activities such as joint researches.

		Delegation from the University of Burgundy, France, led by Prof. Dr. Eric LOQUIN, Vice President for Internationalization, officially visited Kasetsart University during March 10 – 11, 2008, so as to have a discussion with administrators and concerned authorities of Kasetsart University about the future academic cooperation especially the Joint Master Degree Program Development in a particular field of Food Sciences. They also visited Faculty of Agro-Industry and met Dean as well as faculty members of the Faculty so as to have an in-depth discussion on the above mentioned area, on March 10, 2008, at the Meeting Room No. 2211, the Faculty Building No. 2, Faculty of Agro-Industry.

		Associate Professor Dr. Mu-Yang Chen, Vice Dean, Office of Academic Affairs and Mr. Darby Liao, Deputy Director, International Affairs and Career Development, R & D Office, Southern Taiwan University, visited Kasetsart University on 10 March 2008 at 14.00 a.m. to seek collaboration between Kasetsart University and Sothern Taiwan University as well as to promote their Master Degree programs and assistantships to Kasetsart University students. In this occasion, Mr. Darby Liao presented Southern Taiwan University’s profile and discussed with Director of International Affairs Division and representatives from concerned faculties of Kasetsart University. After the meeting Associate Professor Dr. Mu-Yang Chen also met with some of Kasetsart University students who were interested in the programs and the assistantships.

		Professor Dr. Shigeyuki Tajima, Dean of Faculty of Agriculture and Graduate School of Agriculture, Kagawa University, Japan and of the His Party paid a visit to met Vice President for International Affairs, in the occasion signing ceremony on Agreement on Academic Exchange between Faculty of Agriculture , Faculty of Agriculture at Kamphaeng Saen, Graduate School , Kasetsart University and Faculty of Agriculture and Graduate School of Agriculture, Kagawa University, on March 11, 2008, at the Meeting Room No. 9, the Second floor, the KU Golden Jubilee Building. In the Evening, Group of Kagawa University continued the Study Visit to Institute of Food Research and Product development , Faculty of Forestry, Faculty of Agro-Industry and Faculty of Fisheries.

		Delegation from the University of Burgundy, France, led by Prof. Dr. Eric LOQUIN, Vice President for Internationalization, officially visited Kasetsart University during March 10 – 11, 2008, so as to establish the academic cooperation between the two universities. On this occasion, they also had a discussion with administrators and concerned authorities of Kasetsart University about the future academic cooperation especially the Joint Master Degree Program Development in a particular field of Food Sciences on March 11, 2008, at the Kamphol Adulavidhaya Conference Room, the second floor, the KU Golden Jubilee Building.

		The German Academic from Otto von Guericke University, Germany paid a visit to Kasetsart University and met with the Administrative members and Faculties on March 18th, 2008 at 15.00 hrs., the Golden Jubilee building, Kasetsart University Bangkhen Campus Both have discussed to initiate several academic activities such as joint curriculum, cultural exchange, student and staff exchange and joint research, etc. Moreover, the potential field is as follow; Plant breeder such as Rice and Barley Bio-fuels by using rapeseed or biomass Forestry Nano Material Science

		Dr. Michel LAURENT, Directeur General, and Dr. Daniel LEFORT, Directeur of International Relations Division, IRD, France, paid an official visit to Kasetsart University so as to have a discussion with administrators, faculty members and researchers of both Kasetsart University and IRD about the Joint Research Projects and other academic cooperation in the future on March 19, 2008, at the Meeting Room No. 9, the second floor, the KU Golden Jubilee Building.

		Kasetsart University has been honored by the International Society for Southeast Asian Agriculture Sciences (ISSAAS), which is an international society established to strengthen and promote knowledge in agriculture and agricultural technology, to host ISSAAS International Congress 2008. In order to achieve the set-up objectives and to efficiently organize the conference, the university has appointed committees for organizing this international congress. The organizing committee has called a meeting on 27 March 2008 at Room 6, 2nd Floor, Golden Jubilee Building to discuss several agenda including duration, venue, program, and budget of the conference.
