KU discussed with the representative from Leiden University, the Netherlands

     On 7^th October 2024, IAD Meeting Room, 10^th floor, the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Bangkhen Campus, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kornsorn Srikulnath, Assistant to the President for Research and Internationalization; Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs; Asst. Prof. Dr. Lalita Hanwong, Lecturer from the Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences; Miss Chutimon Srinavakatrakul, Policy Analyst, Senior Professional Level, Faculty of Social Sciences; Mrs. Hathaitus Semchuchot, Acting Director of International Affairs Division; and IAD representatives discussed with Mr. Philippe Peycam, Director of International Institute for Asian Studies (IIAS), Leiden University, the Netherlands.

     Following the establishment of the Africa-Asia Studies Programme (KU-AAP) by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Kasetsart University, and representatives from universities in African and Southeast Asian countries, Mr. Philippe Peycam visited Kasetsart University to discuss ways to promote the sustainability of this collaboration and make it more relevant to Kasetsart University.
     After the discussion, the following conclusions were reached 
          1) Kasetsart University intends to participate in the international conference "Africa-Asia: A New Axis of Knowledge 3" in Dakar, Senegal, from June 11-14, 2025.
          2) Development of a joint curriculum in Africa-Asia Studies.
          3) ดCreation of a strategic plan to expand collaboration with African countries.
          4) ดFormulation of academic collaboration agreements at the university level.
