On 12 September 2024, in meeting room 10, 10th floor, the Kasetsart Golden Jubilee Administration and Information Center Building, Kasetsart University, Asst. Prof. Dr.rer.Soc Supapatpimol Simlee, Assistant to the President for International Affairs along with Mrs. Neeracha Kalantakasuwan, Head of Scholarships and Opportunities Section; Miss Pratthana Thirakiettikun, Head of International Collaboration and Networking Section; Miss Suthinee Sutthisri, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional Level; and Miss Unthika Thamnium, Foreign Relations Officer, Professional Level welcomed the delegation from Utsunomiya University, Japan, led by Prof. Makoto Nakamura, Dean of the School of International Studies and Prof. Sugit Arjon, Assistant Professor in Global Governance, the School of International Studies.
UU is a national university in Japan, founded in 1949 through the merger of 3 colleges: Utsunomiya Agricultural and Forestry College (founded in 1922), Tochigi Normal School (founded in 1873), and Tochigi Normal School for Youth (founded in 1922). Its main campus is the Mine Campus, with another being the Takaragi Campus. The purpose of this visit to KU is to discuss the online “International Career Seminar,” a 3-day seminar that offers Japanese and international students the opportunity to develop their global talents.
The seminar is divided into 2 formats: A Japanese-language session and an English-language session. Participants can choose either format (Those choosing the Japanese-language session should have a Japanese proficiency level of N3 or higher). Participants who complete the seminar will receive a certificate as proof of participation. UU will send an invitation to KU in June 2025, and the seminar is scheduled to be held in September 2025. Asst. Prof. Dr. rer. soc. Supapatpimol Simlee is more than willing to coordinate with relevant departments to prepare the selection process for participating students.
