CHILDREN'S CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM

The three knowledge baskets contain within them the eight principles of the Noble Path.
  1. WISDOM

  2. SELF-RELIANCE

  3. PERSEVERANCE

Let's start with concepts of education.

"The art of education is to continue to grow as long as you live. Every moment brings its lesson. Every perason is a teacher. Grow all directions.

Develop a DESIRE for goodness, an EAGERNESS for knowledge, a capacity for friendship, an appreciation of beauty, a concern for others. GROW! Man is never finished. Man never arrives. Education never stops."

Above is written by somebody, not identified. Following has been revised by me for the "Children's Creative Development Project"

" The REAL art of education is to continue to view at HUMAN CENTRE as long as one lives. Every moment brings its lesson. Every MOTION shows its GOLDEN HAPPINESS.

Man is never finished. His CENTRAL PATH never ends. Education never stops. LET'S NOT KEEP OFF OUR CENTRES. TO LOVE PEACE IS TO LOVE YOUR CENTRE."

CREATIVE THINKING in the project is defined based on Buddhist concept as any form of thinking which leads to speech and actions or production of problem-solving which does not results in REVENGE, DESTRUCTION and SENSUAL PLEASURE to oneself or to others (both at present or in future), but results in more WISDOM, SELF-RELIANCE and GENEROSITY. Self-reliance as discussed here is one's ability to control or calm down one' internal definement: GREED ANGER and DELUSION.

Chinese proverb : "By nature people are similar, by education they are totally different". The more we learn the more our process of thinking develops and our attitudes change. Generally, educated people are considered as wise people although without goodness.

WISDOM in Buddhist concept is classified into three levels :

  1. Basic level: Knowledge gained by memory.
  2. Advance level: Knowledge gained by thought through analyses and syntheses.
  3. Ultimate level: Enlightenment knowledge.
Most education systems in universities have only achieved up to the Advance Level.

WISE MAN in the project based on Buddist concept has three characteristics:

  1. Knowing path of goodness (morality) and the cause of goodness.
  2. Knowing path of evil and the cause of evil.
  3. Knowing how to alter evil to goodness if faced.
To be educated as the wise man as defined in the project needs insight up to ENLIGHTENMENT KNOWLEDGE. Enlightenment knowledge can be realized only by authentic meditation.

Human being was born with four POWER of WEALTH:

  1. Physical power .
  2. Knowledge power
  3. Thought power
  4. Goodness power
Only wise man perceives the importance of his own wealth power and realizes how to develop and benefit them SIMULTANEOUSLY.

"To CREEP in order to make it FAST, to DASH in order to make it SLOW".

To understand the above motto:

First, let's discuss Buddist concepts of human nature. An individual human life comprises two parts which are the body (Ruupa-khandha) and mind.

The body is formed by five elements namely solid, liquid, air, space and heat elements and deals with physical balance. By nature, body prefers to rest. Its beauty and energy decline by age. In order to maintain the beauty and energy, EXERCISES WITH MOVEMENT are needed. However, this body is finally away.

In contrast to mind, by nature it's always moving. Original characteristic of mind is crystal. Its functions deal with FEELING, REMEMBRANCE, THOUGHT AND CONSCIOUSNESS.

Due to moving habits and being familiar with DESIRES (1.desire to obtain or own, 2. desire to be and 3. desire not to be as existing), internal definements are gradually developed and pollute crystal quality. This results in malfunctions/weakness of mind. Its beauty and power are able to developed by age if it is well trained to STOP MOVING.

"HARD to perceive and extremely subtle is this MIND.
It roams where ever it desires.
Let the wise man guard it.
A guarded mind is conducive to happiness.

MIND FORERUNS all mental conditions.
MIND IS CHIEF, mind-made are they.

If one speaks or acts with a wicked mind,
then suffering follows him.
Even as the wheel, the hoof of the ox.

If one speaks or acts with a pure mind,
then happiness follows him.
Even as the shadow that never leaves."

The above explanations aim to explain the concept of GENEROSITY (greatness of heart) - the most important component of creative thinking since generosity is the basis of doing all goodness. Generosity in practice implies PERSEVERANCE/ PATIENCE/ENDURANCE base.

Generosity in the project based on buddhist principle composes of three main attributes :

  1. Sammaa Vaayaamo (Right Effort) applied in the project as VALUE ADDED CONCEPT comprises four effort :
  2. Sammaa Sati (Right Mindfulness) applied in the project as QUALITY CONTROL CONCEPT comprises four contemplation :
  3. Sammaa Samaadhi (Right Concentration/meditation) or SELF-SPIRITUAL SUPPORT CONCEPT
